Original reclaimed superb quality late Victorian electric bell press.
Stunning polished plate in rich yellow brass with arched top and bottom marked "Day Bell" to top,"Speaking Tube" to centre and "Night Bell" to bottom.The two bell presses have white ceramic buttons with the word "Press" in bold.The speaking tube having a dished mouth piece similar to early telephones.
Each press has a simple 2-wire connection for use with any low voltage electric bell system.To the rear of the speaking tube is a 3/4" BSP connector reduced to 5/8" BSP (see picture below).
A most unusual and scarce bell press sure to be a conversation piece (even without using the speaking tube!
Faceplate measures 3.7/8" x 10.1/8".
Requires three 1.1/4" diameter holes to a depth of 1.3/4" to fit.
