Original and scarce reclaimed pair of Victorian china rim latch knobs.
Made for use on an important door to make a statement, the knobs are segmented with gold lining between and mounted on brass ferules. The black knob sits on a matching backplate for the non-lock side of the door, the white making a good contrast against a dark lock.
Knobs are on an adjustable standard size lock spindle.
There is no damage other than some minor rubbing to the glaze on a couple of segments, and usage wear to gold lining. The picture may appear to show a chip but this is just camera flash.
