Original reclaimed,restored Victorian steel cased night rim latch with brass fittings.For right hand fitting.
Works in the same way as a Yale type lock i.e. access from outside is by key only,this retracts the sliding bolt,internally the larger brass knob also slides back to release the bolt.The bolt can be held in the open or closed position by the brass snib seen lower right.
Lock body measures 4.3/4" x 4.1/2".Keep 3/4" wide.
Key hole 2" from door edge and 1.1/2" from case bottom.
