Scarce early 19th Century miniature cast iron fireplace having oak leaf and acorn decoration to sides, with cherubs, rampant lion and horse surrounding a coat of arms to top. There is a rose emblem to the fireback.
Sits on its own free standing plinth.
These are often referred to as samples or apprentice pieces, this is highly unlikely as they are like no fireplace ever made! More Probably these were simply made as decorative items for the fireside.
